The professional care provided by the staff of Boyd's Family Funeral Homes does not end with the funeral ceremony. The time following a death can be one of the most difficult times a family will face. This is one of the reason's Boyd's developed its Continuing Care Program. Boyd's staff is available to answer any questions families and friends may have regarding any of our programs.

Holiday Support - Our Holiday program is held annually in early December, typically the first Friday. The holidays are especially difficult after experiencing the death of someone you love. The range of emotions move from anger to sadness and loneliness. What is usually a cheerful time of joyous memories becomes extremely painful. For this reason, Boyd's offers this special holiday program with a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist. The Holiday Program concludes with a memorial candle lighting service.
Tree of Memories - In early December, typically the first Sunday, families and friends are invited to the funeral home to write a message on an ornament, which is laminated and placed it on our Tree of Memories. The decorated tree remains in our lobby until the New Year, when the ornaments are returned to the families. Those attending are given a keepsake ornament to take home.
Mother's Day and Father's Day Bookmarks - Memories of our mothers and fathers never fade. We remember the times they spent with us during our childhood, when they nourished our bodies, spirits and our minds. They always have a special place in our hearts. As a way to help memorialize the memory of our mothers or fathers, Boyd's offers a free memorial bookmark in their honor in the months of May and June. Each laminated bookmark contains a picture of your loved one and a selection from four verses. All you need to provide is your favorite photo and choose a verse.
Community Life Planning Seminars - Life Planning Seminars are offered to the families we serve and the community in general. Those attending have the opportunity to have a simple Florida Will, prepared along with health care directives and a living will. A local licensed attorney conducts the seminar and is available to answer all questions regarding estates and wills. Boyd's provides a comprehensive estate and personal planning organizer for those attending the seminar.
Lending Library - We maintain a library of grief resource materials for use by the public. Our library includes over 100 books, videotapes and brochures authored or produced by nationally recognized authorities. Topics include grief and bereavement, loss of a parent, death of a child, explaining death to children, sudden & traumatic death and caregiving in general.
